agriGHALA Awareness Event – Farmers Empowered at Kuona Mbele agriHUB in Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County

We are happy to share the success of our recent agriGHALA awareness and sensitization event at the Kuona Mbele agriHUB in Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County on Thursday 14th November, 2024. This milestone event, held in collaboration with esteemed partners such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC), County representatives and financial service providers including AFC and KCB Bank, brought together over 450 farmers eager to learn about the transformative potential of agriGHALA.

Introducing agriGHALA:
Unlocking Opportunities for Farmers
At the heart of this event was an introduction to agriGHALA, a service designed to revolutionize farming by addressing key challenges faced by smallholder farmers. Through agriGHALA, farmers can look forward to:
Commodity storage - Secure, reliable storage options that protect farmers' produce and reduce post-harvest losses.
Commodity financing - Access to financing solutions that enable farmers to unlock the value of their stored commodities.
Price discovery - Up-to-date market information to empower farmers with data-driven decision-making).
Market linkages- Opportunities for farmers to sell their commodities at the comfort of their homes, at a price most acceptable to them. By leveraging agriBORA’s robust ecosystem, farmers can enhance their profitability and build a sustainable future.

Looking Ahead: agriGHALA Official Launch
We are counting down to the official launch of agriGHALA on December 4, 2024. With enthusiastic commitments from farmers at the event, we anticipate the warehouse being fully operational and stocked well before the launch. This facility is just the beginning of a series of farmer-centric warehouses that agriBORA plans to establish.
